InLiquid's 12th Annual Art Auction Gala Is Feb. 10

InLiquid, a non-profit arts organization in Philadelphia will hold its  12th Annual Silent Art Auction and Benefit 6-10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10 at the vast Ice Box Project Space of the Crane Arts Building, 1400 N. American St., Philadelphia.
Participants submit works of art from paintings, photography, jewelry, and sculpture. The benefit supports InLiquid’s ongoing mission for expanding opportunities and exposure for local visual artists. This event creates opportunities and exposure for visual artists while broadening audiences for art through its extensive web site and programs in the community.
The silent auction will have an array of artwork, gift certificates, jewelry, and design items available. An exciting group of jurors from the Philadelphia art world -- Julien Robson, curator of Contemporary Art, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; Anabelle Rodriguez- Lawton, founding director of ~The curARTorial LAB; and Buy Shaver, artist -- will pick  three artists to create a special, limited edition print for sponsors and guests at the event
Each year the event continues to grow in popularity and attracts a diverse crowd of collectors, art lovers, artists, and professionals. The silent auction will offer the work of over 150 artists – such as Henry Bermudez, Brent Crothers, Judy Gelles, Sharka Hyland, Darla Jackson, Candace Karch, Lee Lippman, Nikolay Milushev, James Oliver and John Wind.
As always, there will be a lavish lineup of food and refreshments from top local purveyors including Fork, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Ristorante Panarama, Rustica, Philadelphia Distilling Company, and many more. Sponsors of this year’s benefit include the Katherine Alexandra Foundation, The Gallery at Market East/ PREIT, Marguerite Rodgers, Rago Arts & Auction Center, and URBN, Inc.
Admission is $40 in advance / $50 at the door.

There will be VIP Preview at 4 p.m. which features a meet and greet with the jurors  ice carving by Roger Wing and a special live performance by Laurent Bass.

A Young Professionals Preview will be held during the Second Thursday gallery openings at the Crane 6-9 p.m.,  Feb. 9.
